The terms governing your use of this website and our services.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of editorondemand.lk (the "Site") and any services provided by Editor On Demand ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing the Site or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Us

Editor On Demand is a post-production consultancy operated by Palitha B. Wijesinghe, based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. We provide post-production editing, workflow consulting, creative technology, and troubleshooting services.

2. Use of the Site

You may use the Site for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

  • Use the Site in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site or its systems
  • Reproduce, duplicate, or copy content from the Site without permission

3. Intellectual Property

3.1 Site Content

3.2 Work Samples

Work samples displayed on the Site may include content created for clients. Ownership of client work is governed by individual service agreements. Display on this Site does not transfer any intellectual property rights.

3.3 Client Content

Any content you provide to us in the course of a project remains your property. We will not use your content for purposes beyond the agreed scope without your permission.

4. Services

4.1 Engagement

Engaging our services is subject to a separate written agreement or proposal. The terms of each engagement — including scope, timeline, deliverables, and payment — will be defined in that agreement.

4.2 Availability

We make reasonable efforts to respond to enquiries promptly and deliver services on time. However, we do not guarantee availability or specific turnaround times unless agreed in writing.

4.3 Third-Party Tools

Our services may involve the use of third-party software and platforms (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, YouTube, ClickUp). Your use of these tools is subject to their respective terms of service.

5. Payment

Payment terms — including rates, invoicing, and payment methods — will be agreed upon in writing before work begins. Unless otherwise agreed:

  • Invoices are payable within the timeframe specified in the agreement
  • Late payments may result in suspension of services
  • All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or services.
  • Our total liability for any claim related to the Site or services shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

7. Confidentiality

We treat all client information, project details, and business communications as confidential. We will not disclose confidential information to third parties without your consent, except as required by law.

8. Portfolio & Testimonials

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, we reserve the right to showcase completed work in our portfolio, on the Site, and on social media. We will not disclose confidential or proprietary client information without permission.

9. External Links

The Site contains links to third-party websites and platforms. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of external sites. Links do not imply endorsement.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate engagements, or restrict access to the Site at our discretion, with or without cause, and with or without notice.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
